April 17 @ 4:00 pm - April 19 @ 4:00 pm
This is an opportunity to practice insight meditation in a supportive, reverent environment surrounded by nature while leaving only a tiny ecological footprint.
This is not a course, but rather an opportunity to take a break from routines and practice in a structured but only loosely supervised environment.
The schedule and amenities are based on a standard vipassana course, with 1 session on Friday night and 3 sessions Saturday and Sunday.
Lectures by noted teachers such as Alan Watts and Jack Kornfield will be played in the evening and during breaks there will be opportunity to either rest in solitude or peacefully walk the grounds.
Silence will be observed on Saturday. Vegetarian meals will be served for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nonviolent communication and following of core Buddhist principles will be expected at all times.
Prior retreat experience is recommended but not required. Phones and electronic devices will be disallowed on the premises for the duration of the course.
Jiyu is an experienced vipassana meditator and student of insight meditation, having completed the vipassana course in the tradition of S.N. Goenke. He has also served at Dhamma Pakasa and Dhamma Dara.
